A 2020 Wedding

What. A. Year. I don’t need to expand, you know what I mean just from the title from this blog post.

Andy and Jen’s day was my first covid-friendly wedding and looking back on it, I can’t help but smile. This day was a wonderful reminder of all the love there still is to celebrate. In a year of misfortune, Andy and Jen shined by gracefully celebrating what truly matters in life. Seeing everyone special in their lives come together so safely and respectfully was extra heartwarming. Let’s give a very big cheers to our newly weds !

The Secret Garden

Well, maybe it’s a not-so-secret spot, but wow did Kim and Zac’s engagement session feel out of a storybook as we explored the grounds of Elms Bank in Wellesley, MA. I love this location because of the intimate, dreamy, vibe it gives. And on this hot summer day, it did not disappoint.,

They made it so easy. These high school sweethearts were down for all the poses I had in mind as we wandered through the greenhouses and gardens. We twirled, we laughed, we soaked up the sun. Cheers!

Jack & Jill Went Up a Hill ... and Had a Great Party

Kris and Mitch put a fun spin on their bridal shower by 1) making it a jack & jill (boys + girls invited!), 2) requesting that the theme be a ‘backyard BBQ’ and 3) requesting that it begin in the late afternoon and go into the night.

This left room for some really unique twists ! From a smores bar and sparklers, to corn hole and ring toss tournaments, it was easy to see that all guests had a blast celebrating !

An Intimate Hometown Ceremony

It was cold and it was raining, but the warmth and joy in the room was undeniable.

I was so honored when Nick & Al asked me to photograph their intimate day in their hometown. Surrounded by family only, the two were married in a cozy little venue that overlooked a nearby field and bubbling river. Their daughter was the flower girl and their style was simple and elegant.

The rain was supposed to let up but of course it didn’t ( I hear that’s good luck ;) ) so I grabbed an umbrella from my car and we ventured outdoors for their portraits. Call me a sap but there’s something wonderful about getting caught in the rain with your best friend.

A Crisp, October, Rustic Wedding

It was a cloudy, crisp, October day the afternoon the Mahoney’s said ‘I Do’ at the Sunset Farm in Groton, MA. The surrounding landscape was filled with colors bursting against the dark skies, twinkling lights lead the way into the warmly lit barn, a fire crackled on the hill, and a drink from the bourbon-tasting bar warmed your soul.

Everything about Caitlin & Heath’s wedding day captured the warmth and laid back love in their relationship. Laughter, music, good food, and good conversation filled the room & the Bride and Groom completely sparkled. Capturing your day was so lovely.

Such an incredible day with the most wonderful couple. Cheers to you both!

Caroline's Goodbye Party | Off to Oregon

DSC_0615.jpg

It's not goodbye, it's see you later. And if you do have to be on your way, you might as well head off in style. Which is exactly how Caroline's family saw it before she whisked away to new adventures in Portland, Oregon.

Celebrating the new beginnings in the West Coast state was the theme of the night. Caroline's family ordered Portland-made wine & cheeses so guests could have a true 'taste of Oregon' and lit up the night with an array of colors, lights, candles, and funky vibes brought by the backyard band.

Em & Kev's Baby Shower | Welcoming Noelle

If there was anything I knew about lil Noelle Ray, it was that her family was welcoming her into the world in style. Waddup you chic, cute, baby you! What a world of bliss, love, and creativity you'll soon be welcomed into,

From gorgeous birch wood table tops to bundles of hand picked lilacs, this party didn't miss a dang beat. Not to mention the sense of nostalgia - Sue (Our Host, Em's Mom, & Soon to Be Nana) had put out candy from our childhoods and lead attendees in a 'Baby Olympics' of sorts. Each table competed as a team. Round 1) Build a log cabin - Round 2) Style barbies head - Round 3) Easy Bake Oven Cook Off.

HOW FUN AMIRITE?? Guest were laughing, bubbly was popped, and memories were made. All in honor of the new tiny human entering this busy world.
